Memorial Gathering for Brad Will
On October 27, volunteer Indymedia journalist Brad Will was shot and killed while documenting a paramilitary assault on the Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca. A number of protests and memorials for Brad have been held around the world since his death. We hope you will join your friends in the RMO tomorrow afternoon to remember him. We will play at 5 pm. Friends, Comrades, Mourners, and Celebrants, A Memorial Gathering will take place this Saturday, Nov. 11th, at St. Mark’s Church, from 1-5 pm. The program will include songs, testimonies, and videos, and there will also be space for you to contribute in whatever way you choose: a DIY collage wall; a place to record your memories: songs sung together, bread broken together. So, whatever you got – poems, words, photos, paintings, drawings, banners, flyers, flowers, puppets, drums, instruments, food, tea, coffee, liquor, whatever… BRING IT! We encourage you to try to bring your own reusable utensils, plates, and mugs for food and drink in order to use less paper and plastic. Please also help us reach out to folks who would like to come, especially those who do not have access to the internet.
