El Pueblo Unido (Classic)

All the parts for the full quorum are under "Large Print Sheet Music." (Lyre versions of this are in landscape format are under the "Lyre Sheet Music" section). The key has been changed from Eminor (Steve's DSA collaboration version) to G minor. Please practice singing along with the Inti Illimani version -- do not sing with the DSA version since it is not in the same key.

The artistic choices for the arrangement come from Steve's original version transcribed/written to be played with DSA with additional inspiration drawn from: Inti Illimani version.

FORM:
Repeat written music 3 times. Intensity in voices should build every time it is sung.
1st and 2nd time: most players sing lyrics. (Reference the lyric sheet in "Large Print Sheet Music" below.
3x: After A, don't sing immediately; continue the 'el pueblo' chant through letter B while horns play the melody. All chanters switch to singing melody on at C. Skip the first ending and end on FINE (downbeat of m.31)

Trombone 1 doubles the harmony parts that the Alto Saxophone and Clarinet Have. Trombone 2 doubles the Bassline that the Tuba and Baritone Saxophone play. The Tenor Sax part is melody and enters with the Trumpet. If French Horns or Mellophones join the band, transposing the also part would be perfect. (I'll add it later just in case)

RMO arranged this version of El Pueblo Unido in collaboration with the DSA's choir, Sing in Solidarity. Here is Sing in Solidarity's version of El Pueblo Unido for reference. We have moved away from using the same key since most of our voices feel uncomfortable in E minor. Currently, we have chosen to switch to G minor, which matches most versions that are available online..

In development
Notes:

RMO also has an original composition called El Pueblo Unido by Phil Not Bombs, which differs from this classic version in some funky ways.
